About Anahata Giri
I am passionate about helping others to connect with the wisdom of their own soul river; know their belonging within this precious web of life and share their exquisitely unique gifts with the world.
I weave and synthesise an experiential blend of soul-craft, embodied practice, nature immersion, deep ecology, heart alchemy, creative expression and sacred activism.
I am a soul purpose mentor, certified with the Purpose Guides Institute. I am also a group facilitator, circle weaver and retreat leader.
Together, let’s listen to ourselves, each other and to Mother Earth, so we can participate, contribute and co-create the more wise and loving world that is emerging.
Following the Soul River…
When I was 19 years old, I began intensive healing work, yoga, and protecting wild places as an environmental activist with the Melbourne Rainforest Action Group. This was the beginning of a life-long path exploring personal, spiritual and social change. I gained qualifications in Community Development, Somatic Psychotherapy and Yoga Therapy, worked as a community development worker, counsellor and for 20 years as a yoga teacher and retreat leader.
Twenty years ago, I followed whispers of soul and stepped into my new name, Anahata, and a heart-based way of living. In 2020, I trained to be a soul-based purpose guide with the Purpose Guides Institute and I continue to explore work with the Animas Valley and The Work That Reconnects.
On a solo quest fasting in nature, I had a powerful soul encounter that revealed a mythic expression of my soul-self. This has fired my committment to serve this precious web of life.
I live in Melbourne with my beloveds: partner, son and our dog. I love reading, writing, singing, dancing, being in nature, following birdsong…
